 Dueling Information
« Thread Started on Jan 8, 2006, 1:22am »

The rules and origins of dueling have long been controversy, with many still disputing what is considered a "universal" law. We, however, will be using the most common of the universal rules for our system, and they should be obeyed at all times to ensure a fair battle has taken place. There are very few of them, but they cover many aspects.

~ No Auto-hits; The name says it all really. During your post, you cannot say that any of your strikes will hit an opponent directly. This is exempt for such contact as mild pushes and shoves, and for situations involving your own harm if you harmed your opponent.

~ Detail; Fairly obvious this. Now, I understand that not everyone is the best of RPer's - some of us still even beginners to the exhilarating sport - I do, however, request that a certain amount of explanation and detail be included into your post. Not only will this increase the overall standard of your duel, but also make the flow and understanding of your moves far better.

~ One-post rule; This rule is the third item that exempts the first rule in this thread. If you make a maneuverer in one post, and your opponent DOES NOT do anything against it i.e block, evade, deflect etc. then you may, on your next turn, state that the move strikes it's designated area. This will, obviously, have to be checked over with administrators post-strike.

~ Weapons; More of a note than a rule per say, merely stating that you may only use the weapons that are available in your signature. No hidden weapons up your sleeves etc.

I'd like to also note you of the realism factor. Your abilities are not superhuman, albeit you are greater and stronger than the average man, the laws of gravity and time do apply to you. Bare this in mind when deciding your next move.

If you have any further questions on this matter, please PM an administrator, or direct a question to the public council.

I'm going to put this on another site, might edit a bit though. I'll give you credit of course.
