I don't like Xu Shu's weird facial hair on my avatar. Brian's avatar makes him look like a badass. Damians makes him look cool. Mortisses avatar is all like "I'm going to kill you!" Lyle's avatar makes him look like one of those inimportant diplomats or something. Erik's avatar makes him look old. I just don't like Flea's altogether.

At least mine doesn't look like the facial hair was drawn on with a magic marker.

Xu Shu's awesome. At least he wasn't a bastard that only looks good because of an asskissing writer.

Edit: ROFL! I just realized that Damian's battling Zhuge Flea. Who was the genius that came up with that matchup?! Well to his credit Flea did technically beat Mortiss that one time. I'm a terrible duelist now. I wouldn't be surprised if I lost. [EDIT: That's the same reason I quit dueling all together there for awhile. If I do 3 paragraph posts, and someone does a 1 liner. I should win by default instead of wasting my time.] Think of it this way: Any attack that he fails to say he dodged in some way automatically hits him. So if you make a few attacks at once and he fails to respond to one of them you can say it hit. You'll win in no time if he keeps doing one-liners. >

How many attacks do you expect to be launched in one post? The responses should be only as long as needed to get your defence and attack situated. Now to say something like, "I swing my sword at you" is too damn vague and then is left to interpretation by the opponent as to how you swung thus putting you into a disadvantage. On the other end of the spectrum, talking endlessly about how you once made eye contact with your opponent on the battlefield five years ago or how much you enjoyed your breakfast of chili dogs and cow tongue is crap too. Post as is needed to fight, not to tell the story of your life, that's what rp'ing while not in combat is for.

So I can technically get in at least 2 hits if I want, and that's not even counting the things I can do with kicks and such. Edit-Also I just highlight and underline in red what my actions are, so that if my adversary wants a quick summary of what to do when it's his turn he has one.

Okay if you were really dueling someone are you going to swing two swords and then kick and or do something else, how much time does that take? Wouldn't your attacks be interupted as soon as oh say he deadlocks a sword swing? All I'm saying is he would react to your sword swing even before you decide to kick. Underlining things is always helpful though.

Flea, you just need a new avatar. I have nothing against you at all, but that avatar makes you look like a complete twat. I was going for that look.

Every weapon is capable of having "two moves." You just have to know how to use one, or have an imagination. A spear has its blade and pole, same with a halberd. Pole can block, blade can attack. Swords have hilts or their own blade. Two swords are harder to use unless you can be fluid with them. You can't block someone with one hand who is attacking you with two, unless you got some magical angle on them so it won't work. Plain an simple.
