Ok, here it is:
You are leaving the village you love, never to return. Describe the place you grew up in, what you loved about it, and why you'll miss it. You can make up the reason you must leave it. Your basically reminiscing about it. (This is fiction and set in the ROTK time period, not your real hometown. These should be interesting.)
You have until July 16th to get these entries to me. (You would have had a week less time had I not been going to Florida.) I will have prizes up before the entries are due so you know what your aiming for. Have fun with this. Remember, don't go over 1500 words, or you will be penalized. Begin!

Limiting words is retarded. Quality over Quantity buddy. I don't disagree with that, but that argument has little to do with the point. If somebody feels they can make their story better by making something more than 1,500 words then they should be able too. It doesn't mean that the mods have to choose somebody who's written more; they can decide on whoever they want. But there shouldn't be a limit on words. :/

But there shouldn't be a limit on words. :/ Well in truth it's probably because we have some who have vivid minds who could write thousands upon thousands of words for the prompt easily while others couldn't write more than the asked. I see your point though - if someone wrote freely they may have like 2000+ words and would then be forced to cut up the work in order to fit it under the word count, thus weakening the overall piece. Right?

Indeed comrade. Not that it matters in my personal case. I feel that the limit is in the very least a fair one. It would be too time consuming for me to surpass it I think; right now I'm only at 450 words.

Why would someone write more than 1500 words, if they knew there was a limit to begin with?
That's not the mod's fault, it's your own for not following the rules.

You don't understand Damian. Somebody would write more than 1,500 rules if there was NOT a limit. If he/she could be free to jot down as many words as he/she wanted to better his/her story than he/she would do so. Also when people write they don't do word counts like every second. :/

But if you used more then 1500 words, it would be too much work for the mods to read...
