Wu lost at Shi Ting for two simple reasons.
1 - I, as Lu Xun (Wu's commander), decided to fight Alex in a duel. About half way through I decided to kill off Lu Xun, so I did. Gave commander over too Lu Meng.
2 - LU MENG WENT AND DID THE SAME DAMN THING!!
Dumbass. I give him a chance to do what he always wanted, and he messed it up. If I'd known he was gonna do the same thing as me, I wouldn't have killed off Lu Xun in the first place and stuck to all the plans I still had set for the battle.
But, no. We lost. Wei/Shu won. And I'm constantly reminded of my incompetence as a commander & Duelist.
Thus I try to stick to storylines now, since I suck at everything else.
[EDIT:
Quan/Shin participated none in the planning of Shi Ting. They gave me commander and told me to do everthing, so I did. I believe I had to change our battle plan 2 or 3 times because of spies. Wu has tons of members, but only at the time had 5 active ones, so I was limited with who I could depend on.]

Yeah, and he was arrogant. Not in a funny way, like Mortiss. But I thought he was good. Still, he died and I thought it was funny how bad we fucked Wu at Shi Ting. Woulda killed Yasuke, too, but Jen didn't want me to.
By the way, dont be pissed by my cockyness in my duel with Mortiss. Adding history to it.

lol - good to see everyone still remembers it ;D
Matt you did do a good job - its just that things went wrong - to be honest you dying wasen't much of a problem. It was Wilco getting stranded leaving the centre virtually undefended and Lu Meng dying in a suicidal duel leaving the left open for defeat - the right went fine though. ;D
And I haden't realised you were Yung Lao - you were one of the people I really liked fighting in the battle. As for the wall thing - you had your personal unit with you, I had about 10,000 archers + melee units. Without Lu Chen's unit would wern't getting anywhere. Also - I did start moving my unit before you started digging a tunnel from out of archer range. Although just so everyone knows - I worked it out, only about 0.01% of my arrows actaully killed anything. If fact Yung Lao you can have a place in my best tactics bit
Against Yasuke - well Zhen Ji was trapped as well - would have been a test of who would have been beaten first - Yasuke + SSX or Zhen Ji. I guess we'll never know.... Quan was wrapping up the battle around them though so he just basically told everyone to stop fighting. But yeah for Conq etc. its probally a good idea to read the battle (Especially the right hill ;D) a lot of posts have been deleted though.

Right and left hills were the best. But Matt, you didnt lose on purpose... I remember you were legitamitely dead, but Alex let you attack two more times, in attempt to kill him as well.

The death was a planned death. I told Alex through PM's that I was going to kill off Lu Xun and join him on Wei with Lu Bu. But, at the last minute, I tried to take Alomovo with me, that's why there was the 2 last attempts. But, honestly, I would have died eventually in the duel, I went into it with no intentions of not ending it somehow. And I'm pretty sure Alex wasn't going to die.

Yeah, I remember Shi Ting a lot. It was my first rp battle ever. I remember pm'ing Alex, telling him to kill Lu Xun (no offense Matt). Then after that Alex and I joined up and we cut Wilco off. Pi was at one side of the pass, near the Wei camp, and we were at the top. This was the battle that Wilco surrendered to me. And I'm pissed I didnt kill him. Then after we sent him back to Wei, I went up to help SYC with Yasuke and SSX. I was beating him too, but I remember Quan gave me terrible losses.(but not even comparable to the ones he gave me at Xin Ye. 13k of my 17k personal troops dead to his 850 in basically one post.) Then he ended it. Rescuing Yasuke and SSX from me. I would have killed them too! but Yasuke survived because of Zhen Ji. By the time he hit the top of the western hill, Zhen Ji had intercepted him, myself closing behind. Xu Sheng was behind Zhen Ji, but I was still ready to finish him off, but Zhen Ji told me to let him go, and I simply agreed. Um, no. You told me to come help you because Yasuke was gonna get away. So I came. I didnt tell you to let him go, because I wanted him dead too. And SSX. I wanted all the Wu members to die. I knew after those two were gone, I was gonna go after Sheng next.

And then me. But by that point, if you were going after Sheng, he and I would've just legged it. I was holding that hill, so we probably would have just left.

*Mutters* He still should have died by my hand.... ;P
That was my first battle as well, and I merely wanted to survive being I had just joined and had the starting mediocre force. Kinda hard to work with that when everyone else has above 10K people. xD Not to mention I was told that backup would come...but it never did ^^ So I guess I played suicide I suppose...but hey, Sheng did end up moving *Chuckles*

Aye, you did really really well, considering how many men you had. 'twas a good first battle for you, Josh. I encountered your forces very very briefly, when I sent my NPC over there to check out your handiwork at the fort, but I quickly brought him back because the allies were there. >_> That was my first fight as well. I went from having virtually no troops at all to being given -all- of Eerenius' men, along with complete command of the center. "Dubya tay eff, mate?!!" was my apporximate reaction to that. >_>

And who gave the spiritual boost to the Shu - Wei Forces? That's right, Mister Liu Bei. You know who I'm talking about, he is also named as Erik We would win, I knew it. I gave strength to the troops. Who didn't love Mister Liu Bei?

Shu had a good set up in its day with Galen,Jorg, slick etc etc.
Shame that all the good people in Shu were ass raped by Sun Quan.

I knew Josh was gonna pose a threat, eventually. That's why I had my NPC duel him, unfortunately I had to cut that short because... um... I don't remember why I stopped the duel..

Ahh, Jen. I forgot, indeed. I asked you to help cut him off because Rei Shin was voiding my every move. I'd use my cavalry to cut him off, she'd say I'm doing to much in a post. I'd come up behind them and attack, she'd say I'm moving too fast. So thanks for the help you offered.
And Erik, you definately kept Shu going. There was you, me, Yung Loa, and Ma Chao at the end. But you gotta give credit to me, who carried the army on my back at the end, with help of Yung Lao's strategies.

Heh, yeah. I remember thinking that Ryuu and Brian were the main dangers in that army, and Josh. When Sheng rode off to save Yasuke, leaving me alone with Ryuu, I was like...crap. If he'd been beaten, I would have panicked and run. You guys fought a damn good battle.
