I think Brazil will probally win. Though I dont think they are as untouchable as everyone makes out they are. Obviously their attack is flawless with Ronaldhinio, Adriano, Ronaldo and Kaka but they have a weak to average defence and Dida though he is a good shot stopper he makes bad decsions and his catching of the ball lets him down.

Gomes is a better keeper then Dida, as far as I can see. And Brazil's attack is not unstopable either. Look at AC Milan - Barcelona! Jaap Stam had that Ronaldinho in his pocket when playing in Camp Nou. Now, Holland would have 4 Jaap Stams in it's selection...
Anyway, either Holland (My Pride!) or Germany will win the World Cup. Look at it, the home playing team usually wins, and the Germans are exceptionally good when it comes to growing into a tournament. And the fact that they play at home ALL the time, makes them more favourites then Brazil. At least from my point of view. I don't want Brazil to win the World Cup again either...

Germany have one good player and thats Ballack and hes not half as good as the likes of Gerrard or Lampard. Germany will get to the first knock out round but no further. Holland could be dangerous as long as they dont all fall out with each other like what normally happens. The dutch playuers are too far up their own ass to win anything.
Brazil or England will win for me.

Obviously I'm going with England all the way, and who knows, maybe theyll actually win. Got a team of super kids now apparently, as opposed to one super kid who continues to f*** things up when it matters.

We have Marco Van Basten as coach, so if things are really bad, Marco can always jump in the pitch and score the winning goal. He still can do it! All the cool guys like Davids and Seedorf don't even play in the Dutch team anymore, a pity, in my eyes, but oh well. Our Dutch Team Under 21 won the European Championsship Under 21. So we can theoratically win the World Cup within 8 years anyway. Our time WILL eventually come, but maybe we can do a little stunt. Just like in 1974... Focking Germans... And England? Come on guys... They won't come far...

IMO, the Atlanta Falcons are going to sweep in, tackle all of your prissy players and just about kill every damned last one of you. But that's just my opinion. What, thought we were talking about football? Edit: I might as well go give myself a warning for trolling.

*cracks fingers* Holland will do well, provided they can stop kicking each other off the training ground every time the squad gets together. They've got a talented squad, and a real fluidity to their passing that should see them score a fair few. Even so, they're in a horror group- Argentina, Serbia & Montenegro, and Ivory Coast. How bad is that ? Serbia only conceded one goal in 10 qualifying games, and Argentina are good. Ouch. Argentina will also do well, depends on who they get later on. Brazil are obviously massive favorites, unsurprisingly given that they've got Adriano, Ricardinho, Robinho, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Kaka, to name but a few. Their forward line is almost scary, and if Ronaldo hits form, everyone else may as well go home. England have a great chance, and it'll be a crime if we don't make at least the quarters. We've got a real solid team, and probably the best midfield in the world. IMO, Steven Gerrard is one of the top 3 players in the world, if not the best (and no, I'm not a Liverpool supporter, I just worship the man), with so many good players supporting, England will do well regardless of whether Rooney's there. Germany have a weak team, but then again they had a weak team four years ago, and look what happened. Never count the Germans out, expect them to make the quarters unless they get England in the last 16. Urm...there are a fair few teams that could cause upsets too, like Switzerland (incredible organisation), Australia(insane fitness and workrate, had a nice 1-1 with Holland lately), and USA (becoming good), to name but a few. With so many teams, I can't wait. Just a shame Ireland aren't in. My pick to win? The Czech Republic. When they lost to Greece in Euro 2004, it was the biggest disgrace ever- I've never seen a football team dominate the other SO BADLY and then go onto lose. The Greeks barely had an attack for God's sake!! Ugh, I hate thinking about it. Either way, I think they'll do well, especially if they get Brazil early- the champs may take a shock fall early on, people.

Van Nistelrooy will not fall out anybody. You just think that because Alex Ferguson is trying to tease him out of Man United so he can catch a some transfermoney. Ferguson is doing the same with our Van The Man as he has done with Roy Keane, David Beckham and Jaap Stam. But Van Nistelrooy is not giving open critics, so he has actually won Ferguson's little unadult game. And sorry Ryan, but we beat the Czech Republick TWICE. Offcourse, they didn't have Jan Koller both times, but still... Just listen to me, either Holland or Germany will win this year. Listen to a wise man's words

Nope, I'm basing it on the team arguments that always plague the Dutch squad on the main stage- nothing to do with Man Utd. So maybe you should listen to my words. ;) Czech Republic are lethal, I think they'll kick some ass. Holland also have a shot.

I was talking to Mortiss about Van the Man. Though I don't see what you all mean with plagues at the maion stage... That only happened in 1974, I think. With Van Persie and Robben as flankplayers, no defence will be able to beat us. Anyone think Australia will come far because Mister Guus Hiddink is coach? Look what he did to South-Korea

Yep, I do. I think they'll beat out Croatia and Japan to snag second in their group, behind Brazil. The main thing about the Australians is their workrate and energy...I mean, they are Aussies, after all, which says it all.
