Wang ji gatherd the troops of the city and looked them over. Seeing that much of them had little training and most were young. He thought to himself "this might be difficult"..So he decided to ask..
"So who here has had a naval experience?"
No body raised there hand or showed and recognition to having previous training.
"Good, then today you shall learn. Everybody to the docks, today we learn naval warfare. Another question before we go...who is sea sick here?"
Of course no one raised their hand, probably due to fear or something. With that answerd, he notioned for everyone to follow him, and they did. When they got to the docks, the soilders who had horses dismounted and waited.
"There are 3 main things i will teach you today: ramming, boarding, and fighting. First is ramming. If you are in command of moving the ship this is a very effective technique. When an enemies boat is sideways, all you have to do is drive the nose of the boat into the side, very easy. Next is loading. This is kinda of tricky at first but easy to master. I have a few examplease out on the sea to show you. When your riding close to a ship, within 1-3 ft., you should bombard that ship. an even stealthier tactic is have everyone hide and wait to see if they load onto your ship and then surprise attack, as demonstraighted....and finally, fighting. the only 2 things i can tell you is if your an archer and ur arrows are ignited, aim for wood, not that hard. But if your infantry, say like a spearmen of a swordsmen, USE the edges of the boat to your advantage. Now its time for you to practice wat ive taught."
He saw them run to boats with ecitement. all the noses of the boats were cusiond and the sides were also to prevent losses due to ramming. And there were no fire arrows. He stood on the dock and watched. The troops werent half bad. They were training for over 5 hrs, till wang ji had said to come in. when the troops came in, their were dumplings and wine for everyone.
"Job well done troops, job well done"
((I had no clue how i was going to do this, so its kinda crapy, but i tried...lol))
