F*ck you guys.
Alright I am giving the 140 gold that Jorge gave me (which remains unspent since my purchases were made invalid) back to him. In addition I am giving all my troops and belongings, along with the customization elements I added, to Jesse on this site (Sullivan). Sorry Turbans but I changed my mind. Jesse's been a close comrade for a long time.
Stuff to Jesse:
500 Xiongnu Confederation Archers (Troops with bows and arrows)
450 Eastern Phalanx (Troops with spears)
250 Hun Hussaria (Mounted soldiers with bows and bucklers as well as ornamental wings)
30 Horsebowmen (Mounted soldiers with bows, part of the personal guard)
10 Sunsetters (Twin Light Sword troops, the small personal guard of Pang De)
1 Arbalest*
1 Archer Boat (which I named S.S. Storm)
1 Xiongnu Composite Bow (Officer/Personal Weapon)
1 Grayish Colored Horse (Officer/Personal Steed)
*The Arbalest I did not have in my profile, but I did in fact buy it and I never gave it away or lost it. You can check the siege purchase market for verification on it. It's only a page so it should not be at all hard to find.
**Also note that I have reduced the troops back to what they were before I bought anything.
And here are how I customized them:
Custom Troop Information: Here I will list the merely aesthetic differences between my troops and other troops of the same kind.
Shadow Guards (Image, click the word 'shadow guardians' to show:
Shadow Guardians)- Shadow Guards are a defensive military unit in the army of Pang De. They don dull-colored armour that can camoflauge them well at night or in muddy terrain and wield spears as their weapon of choice. Though they are essentially ordinary spearmen, but they come equipped with two special items of importance, these being their masks (which include false facial hair to cover the mouth) and their canteens. Their flasks allow them to keep well hydrated on the battlefield. Additionally since they carry extra liquid and quite a few canteens they can effectively put out fires if needed.
Their masks however have a more interesting purpose; they allow the soldiers of the shadow guard regiment to conceal their fear, and thus they deprive enemies of being able to easily determine the morale of the shadow guard unit. Since shadow guards are made up of both inexperienced drafted militia given weapons and equipment and seasoned war veterans, the masks that they wear are also important since they make it harder for adversaries to determine who in the shadow guard unit are simple peasants and who are experienced soldiers.
Xiongnu Confederation Bowmen (Image, click the word 'hun archers' to show:
Hun Archers)- The Xiongnu Confederation was a band of allied xiongnu tribes, each of which being headed by a shanyu (essentially a chieftain). They were skilled archers and horsemen, but were also a civilized and advanced group of barbarians who settled and mixed in with the Han people. Pang De's bowmen consist mostly of foreign soldiers drafted by Han Sui, who had close connections with the various tribes of Liang province. They wear uniforms of the Xiongnu Confederation and fur hats to protect themselves from the cold weather. Despite being lightly armoured, they are still adapted to fight well in cold climates. The fact of the matter is that heavier armour would make them more subject to the cold, but with light but warm clothing they are good at survival in the north.
Hun Hussaria (Image, click the word 'winged hussars' to show:
Winged Hussars)- The Hun Hussaria are a special breed of Xiongnu soldiers. They form the backbone of Pang De's army, being the only ranged unit that doesn't require any sort of melee troop type to cover it. Indeed all the hun hussaria require are speed and ammunition. The northern barbarian ability to shoot from a horse and the expertise in riding that comes from the Xiongnu and Qiang allow hussars in Pang De's force to handle their weapons skillfully and calmly in even the toughest situations. In locations that are more compact the hun hussaria can still fight, although they lose part of their strength since they are unable to circle around adversaries while firing.
One thing that should be noted is that if flying tactics were not invented by Pang De, they were certainly improved by him, for the horsebowmen his army has, with their special helmet crests, their wings attached to their armour, their dark bucklers and their light and comfortable armour, are able to execute speedy volley and sniper attacks while moving at nearly full speed. Pang De greatly trusts the Hun Hussaria, among other reasons because they are able to keep an enemy at bay for awhile in open areas during a retreat. For this reason it is a high honor to be made a hussar.
Horsebowmen (Image, click the word 'armed caravan' to show:
Armed Caravan- The Horsebowmen of Pang De's army receive all the privelages of being a soldier in the Pang clan's personal guard. They also get to bear the rank of a Pang guardian. In reality though the horsebowmen that serve Pang De are nothing more than armed caravans that travel in the center of Pang De's formation near Pang De because they lack the skill in combat that the Hun Hussaria have and carry certain supplies that Pang De's troops need in battle, most of these supplies being ammunition for archers and such.
Sunsetters (No Image, they are simply Xiongnu soldiers that carry two swords though)- The Sunsetters are named because of one particular test they must take in order to become Pang De's personal guard. This task involves being able to quickly see during the night time, so that Pang De's army is well-supplied with troops that can lead the army in the dark if need be and learn of ambushes at night easier and faster. Because this and several other tests are quite hard to pass, there are currently a very small amount of troops in Pang De's forces that can claim to be sunsetters. Those that are though are ferocious fighters quite deft of blade, able to swiftly decapitate enemy soldiers that attempt to break through the formation to assault Pang De and equally competent in deflecting arrows with their two blades when a missile comes close to hitting their commander. The weapons they carry are light swords, which are particularly useful because of their speed. Their uniforms are nothing special, just regular peon outfits and bandanas with the name 'Sunsetters, Pang De's personal guard' written in Chinese.
