Leon and Rich- a lovely cuddly practice duel

[Leon]

It was a warm summer day, well, at least until 15 minutes ago. Clouds began to gather and it began to rain. A gentle summer rain.

Standing in a green plain was Leon, dressed in his usual black attire, his long ponytail getting drenched because of the rain. Cursing his partner that was alway late he began shadowboxing. Usually he fought with his gloves, but this was supposed to be a spar, so he refrained from using them.

[Richard]

Richard walked in and eyed up Leon

"I Still dont see why we have to do this"

Watches as Seifer and Shadow run through the middle of them, Seifer yelling "Give back my porno"

[Leon]

Ignoring the two he turned around facing his partner, wet locks of red flames over his face. Still, Rich could quite easily see his piercing blue eyes and mad grin. Thrwoing a few punches in the air, he began hoping in his place. The style he used in combat was called Quicksilver, a free-flowing style that emphasized adaptability and flexibility. Spitting on the ground he talked.

''Well, you said yourself you were getting rusty. So, I thought you might wanna practice ya big oaf!''

[Richard]

"Lets just get this over with, i have something that needs doing. I promise not to beat you to bad"

Richard began to circle Leon and kept his guard up, though he was not as fast as his partner he was stronger and could take more or beating. So in order to counter Leons speed he was going to use his own Turtle Formation. A style that emphasised defense and wearing out your opponent before emerging from you shell to finish the job. Still, he circled and kept up his guard waiting for Leon

[Leon]

Grinning, he also began circling to the opposite side, scanning his opponent carefuly. Sure, Rich was tough as a coffin nail, but was slow. It would take him ages to hit, but still, Leon was not crazy enough to underestimate this juggeranaut. Rich could knock him out as easily as pie. In a moment he broke into a sprint, rushing Rich and perfroming a spinning kick at his chest. He wouldn't try to hit his head as Rich could easily block the attack and counter in that situation. The kick was followed up with a left jab in the guts and a right uppercut in the head.

[Richard]

Leon had gotten predictable, he all ways stated a fight with a spinning kick and Richard was ready, as Leons foott came round Richard broke his defense slightly and went to grab Leons foot. If it worked he would be in a position to give Leon the old Roundabout but if not then he wouldnt probally only be able to block the gut strike and the uppercut would connect. It would all depend on if leon was fast enough

[Leon]

Thinking fast the pulled the spin short, barely managing not to get spund around like an idiot. The gut-punch was blocked but the uppercut connected, not causing much damage, but a blow was a blow. Using the momentarely momentum, he tried a cross to his face and then a snap kick at his jaw, pulling back and continuing to circle the opponent. If he could make only a small hole in his armor he could defeat him. If not, well, st least he tried.

[Richard]

Richard knocked the cross to his face and knew that a snap kick would come up next, Leon was to reliant on combos and never mixed and matched. It was as Leon began his Snap kick that Richard broke his defense and Attempted to grab Leon in a bear hug, the close proximity for the snap kick and the sudden Rush were all Richard needed to push his advantage, still Leon had a chance if only he could avoid it quick enough

[Leon]

''Helll no!''

He shouted as the big guy came in. The snap kick connected but didn't have any bite to it. Trying to pull back quickly enough he only got caught in a weaker bear hug. But still, it was formidable, and if he didn't get out of it quickly, Rich had an ensured victory. Throwing a barrage of blows at Rich's chest, he hoped it would be enough to let him go and loosen the grip. Rich didn't have quite a strong grip, and at this proximity he had no chance of blocking the flurry.

[Richard]

Richard knew his bearhug wouldnt hold out long so decided to turn it in to an offensive move, he did nothing more than hold Leon as tight as he could and jump forward and on to his belly, and with Leon in between him and the ground he would be crushed but not much as the ground was muddy but still enough to hurt

[Leon]

For fucks sake, not that! Almost desperate, he did a headbutt at Rich's nose, at this proximity it could easily connect and give him a moment to slip away. As they fell Leon started to slip away, but not enough, Rich still had a good grasp of his legs. With a loud 'SPLASH!' he hit the ground the mud getting on his clothes and hair. Rich was still holding his legs tightly. Cursing as the throw knocked the wind out of him, he slipped one leg out and began pounding on Rich's exposed head with it. Hpoefuly he'd free his other leg nd continue the fight.

''Let go baldy!''

[Richard]

"NO ONE CALLS ME BALDY"

Richard was angry at that remark and now gripped leons leg with both his hands tight and stood and literally lifted Leon off his feet, then he began to spin round, faster and faster until at the peak of the spin he released Leon and sent him flying

[Leon]

''Hoooly shiiiiiiiiit!''

He shouted when he released him. Sure he was skilful, but you try somersulting in the air when a juggernaut like Rich throws you away. Still, it was worth a try, he began the somersault, and landed, on his bottom, slidng backwards in the mud. Growling he stood up charging Richard. He knew Rich expected another flying spin kick, well, he wasn't going to let him down. Jumping towards him at full speed he began the kick with his right foot. Driving it to his left, an instant before he crashed he lost his altitude and tried a flying sweep as he landed. This one would be hard to evade or block, and if it connected, Rich would be an easy target on the floor.

[Richard]

Richard was pumped now, he watched Leon rush and brought up his guard expecting a flying kick of sorts and as it began he was ready but then Leon did something odd, he stopped short and it was only then that Richard realised what he was going for

"Crap"

Richard shouted as he felt his feet go from under him and he dropped backwards on to his back. Richard's next instinct was to swing his leg at leons legs in order to bring him down or cause him to move back giving time for a recoevery

[Leon]

''Ha-h-ouch!!''

He exclaimed as he was gripping his shin. It wasn't a strong blow, but any blow to the shin hurt as hell. Jumping backwards on his one foot while rubbing his shin made Leon look funny. But he stopped as soon as he saw Rich rise back to his feet. Leon got back in his stance, hopping around while keeping his guard up. Seems like there was more to Rich then it meets the eye. Circling to his right ( Rich's left), he began looking for a crack in his defenses, also watching andy sign of Rich's own attacks.
