(But how does running forward prevent an arrow that's headed to your back from hitting you. Here's a crappy diagram:
Sun Ce -> Dian Wei Er Aorong
Moving forward does nothing. And if you ask me, saying that you werel ucky it didn't hit you is too unlikely to be judged alone by you or me. And as for the battle, I hear you fully. I thought it was stupid to allow anyone that wanted to join in join in, as there's the same outcome, but Zhen Ji and Sun Jian wanted it the other way, now it's just dragging.)

Dang where do I begin. The arrow would have hit since well, you were standing still as I pinned your axe. Hmm what else, oh yeah, your arm is gone. If your head is tilted back like you say it is then my arms, including my sword, would be out of your peripheral vision. Absolutely nothing was in the way of it and raising your knee would push your axe up, as well as my sword, brining it into your arm even quicker not slowing it down. And as depicted in my sig, there is no way to wedge your head between my armor to bite out my throat, your head would be too big.

As an admin, I would have to say that the arrow hit Dian Wei. All he said was that me moved forward, and arrows move for the most part in straight lines. So if it was coming towards him anyway, moving forward wouldnt stop it from hitting. Dian Wei, you said that it makes more sense for an arrow to miss while someone ran away. You didnt post that you were running, just that you moved forward. So that point would be null.

Zhang Yuan and his small contingent of troops, 750 strong, move up the eastern street toward the palace district; where all the action was. Bodies carrying both blue and red flags line the streets as if a massacre had just taken place. That is, if it was even finished.......
"My lord!!" a soldier on the left flank yells out.
Yuan looks to his left, after completing a quick scan of the area with his eyes, to see who was calling out to him.
The soldier points to a mammoth man in the distance cutting down Wu soldiers like blades of grass. The warrior's mighty weapons cleaving bodies in twain with ease as the sounds of screaming men ring out; ah, joyous sounds of battle.
"That man is one of the most terrible generals I have ever seen" the young Wu commander says to his frightened soldiers. Their leader just smiles though as he hoped there would be a challenge awaiting him.
"Forward!"
Zhang Yuan waves his sword forward and his men race toward the palace where Wu troops were still engaged with the remaining Wei fighters. Just as the young warrior arrives an arrow nearly catches Dian Wei in his shoulder; grazing past and trimming flesh if not armored.
"Champion of Wei!!"
Yuan yells out to the enemy general hoping to stay his deadly blade but also to save his life.
"Surely a man of such strength and talent is needed by Wei in the future."
Hundreds of spear tips gleam in the sun as they are lowered facing Dian Wei's remaining soldiers.
"However, if you truly wish to prove your worth to your lord than my men will give you what you thirst for!!"
"Prepare for battle!!"

(As of now, Ryan, that man is pretty unable to fight, what with an arrow in the back of his neck and all. Gunna have to wait it out and see, however.)

Well actually by the numbers I think I'm in a lot of trouble - yet for some reason I'm still waiting for you to actually attack Guo Jia yourself...or for anyone to attack him personally....
And Dian Wei - I told you, Sun Jian told you, Sun Ce told you, Zhen Ji told you - you were supposed to be at the north gate - the part of the battle that wasen't scripted, where you wouldn't have been outnumbered and surrounded and might have been able to do something.

(Aaaah, my bad for the arrow bit.....I kinda thought it looked a lil' something like this... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dian Wei>Er ^ | | | | Sun Ce ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I imagined the bit of distance between them, hence Sun Ce using a bow, not his hand weapon to hit me with As for the moving bit, Dian Wei was moving fast, thats why I had the momentum bit, avoiding the arrow etc... As for being told not to fight here, nobody said it was scripted until recently, at which point it was too late for Dian Wei to simply say "Oh, Im not supposed to be protecting the Prefect of the city, Id best be off...". I was only told Sun Jian and Guo Jian had agreed to the outcome of events-nothing about not interfering. And being told I was not much use here, I ignored, because it said I was not much use.... Dosnt mean I shouldnt be there.)

(Well, I did attack Guo Jia myself as soon as Sun Jian was killed. Revert back to my post, you'll see it. I just shrugged it off because you ignored it, probably missed it.)

(really short post warning)
*Sun Ce charged forward, his legs growing tired, his body wearing down from the fatigue. Not only had he been engaged in combat, a struggle since he entered the gates of Xu Chang, but his father had just dies before his eyes, and battle was one of the last things one would want to do in that situation.*
*He saw Guo Jia, attempting to escape, and dropped the bow. Dian Wei had been hit, and if the arrow did not kill him, the demon that was Er Aorong would. Ce took his sword, brandishing it high above him, and ran at Guo Jia. He was near the rear of his ranks, his men fighting infront of him to clear a path to flee. But that was a mistake, as Sun Ce now came behind him, with no men to defend him.*
*Ce charged in, thrusting his blade into the calf of Jia's left leg, taking the sword out to hack away at his right leg, to take it clean off. Retreat would be impossible if you couldn't move.*

(lol - you don't need to put short post warnings - thats fine, any longer and anyone that isn't fighting you wont bother reading it ;D)
*Guo Jia was not a warrior, he was not a hero, he was not a general....he was a tactician, he had no real place in such a battle, with the carnage going on around him Guo Jia struggled to hold out against the wave of Wu troops that opposed him. He couldn't do it, some things evedently were beyond even his grasp. He saw Sun Ce goming towards him, he knew when he was beaten.*
"Sun Ce I submit, the city is yours, I know when I am beaten, I will trouble you no long......ARRG!"
*Guo Jia's words were cut short as Sun Ce stabbed him through his thigh, blood loss from the artery would take him soon. The blood draining from his head before he even hit the floor Guo Jia thought with his final thoughts, who would be remembered as the villian here today?*

OOC: I'm taking this back to when we were deadlocked but you got struck with an arrow.
While Sun Ce was chasing after Guo Jia Er was still fighting Dian Wei. As he held his weapon down an arrow slammed into the back of his opponent piercing into his back and most likely hitting a lung. The pain from the wound would be immense and Er took this opportunity to finish this fight. He brought his weapon up from pinning Dian Wei's down and aimed for the man's throat, he would attempt to behead this man. The pain that shot through him as the arrow hit would be too much for him and response to Er's move would be difficult, if not impossible.
